My Arabic is little. Once upon a time, Bismillah Al Rahman Al Rahim, maybe Bahauddin was
not born yet, Shaykh Bahauddin, I was traveling with the Cypriot pilgrims. Subhana Allah in
those days we used to get a ride from Nicosia, Lefkosia, to Beirut, then from Beirut with the
busses to Sham. From Sham we used to walk to Hijaz (Saudi Arabia) or we take the... what the
Arabs say Pullman.... Hisham Effendi used to tell me pullman/bullman... if you like this if you
like bullman...

In those day there was tension between the people of Sham and the people of Jordan. And we
were going by road we were riding or with the busses I don't remember. End of story we reached
the border and there was tension between the people of Sham and the Jordanians. Especially
among the scholars, the scholars with no mind, they used to insult the Jordanian Government.
Their government is a Kingdom, The Hashemite Kingdom. Some of the scholars had no mind,
those who had no manners used to insult the King. And therefore for those traveling from the
Jordanian way on the border the police intelligence was there especially for some heedless ones
from the people of Sham. They used to question them and they would send them back from the
border.

I reached the border & I was arranging some things, to prepare ourselves for the trip, from the
border. While on the way to the border one man came, masha'Allah, he was as tall as Nabil 1
1/2 times maybe. He said to me "O Shaykh!" "Yes," "What do you think of this & that?" I
understood from him that if a person.. the ones that travel to his country, (from Sham) are
against the Ahl Al Bayt it is because of the Palestinians that were living in the West of Sham. So
he tried to make me speak, to see if I was against the King then he would send me straight away.
He spoke, he spoke, he spoke & said "what do you think?" So I said "O brother, I do not
understand Arabic, I am Turkish!"

S.B.: He spoke for two hours!

M: "Why didn't you tell me from the beginning & he became angry, "Why are you angry, I did
not understand. My Arabic is little!" "Little, but you do not understand!" "I understood that
much, I am Turkish. We are going from Sham to Hijaz." This way we managed the situation.
"My Arabic is little", therefore this was the way to safety. "Therefore my Arabic is little." This set
us free.

Emir Hussein, not the King who established the Kingdom, Sharif Hussein, they chained him &
exiled him to Cyprus. My father used to visit him & serve him.

I will tell you a story. There was Shaykh Mehmet Effendi, he is really very peculiar, very funny
he used to be the Imam for Sharif Hussein. They used to come to him, he had a small shop he
can.... He was selling soap. Not only did he sell it, but he produced soap as well. And he was an
Imam for Sharif Hussein. May Allah (swt) have mercy on his soul. And he used to come visit him
from outside the walls of his house in Nicosia. They used to come & sit, the servants of Sharif
Hussein. And one day, I also was walking and I saw them sitting, some of his servants wore the
traditional headdress the 'Iqal.

I was 8 or 10 years old then. I saw & there were other kids behind me. Then the kids said "the
servants of S. Hussein are sitting with black snakes on their heads." I saw that and I started
running away. I ran away because there was a snake on their heads. And like this....

Subhana Allahi l 'Aliyi l 'Azim. We were aquainted. May Allah forgive us, and forgive our sins,
insha'Allah. There will come a time "for everyone to receive their due rights" (Hadith). More
honour & sovereignty to the children of the Prophet (saws), it must be. Things must return to
their origin. The Arabs have no respect left for the children of the Prophet (saws). What gives
them the right (not to respect them)?
